Working Session on the Preparation of the National Research Programme (NRP)

took place in Telc (southern Bohemia) from 8 to 11 July 2002. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) and the Research and Development Council (RDC). Representatives of MEYS, RDC, other ministeries, Academy of Sciences of the CR, Technology Centre AS CR and Association of Research Institutes participated in the meeting. The objectives of the meeting were the following: to specify the parts of the Proposal of the NRP (as factually approved by the government in May 2002) which are to be formulated in compliance with the new Research and Development Act effective on 1 July 2002, to agree on the process of its finalisation, to propose a time schedule of the finalisation of the NRP and its submitting to the government (by 31 December 2002).
